Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in developing innovative educational technology solutions. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has been integral to cross-functional teams focused on hardware development for Digital Vision Touch (DViT) interactive whiteboards and related educational devices. Prior roles include Firmware Engineer at SMART Technologies, where Chris created firmware and diagnostic tools, and Electronics Contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, responsible for electronics design and repair for educational devices. Chris has also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary and worked as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, contributing to control systems for forestry industry equipment. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
