Dmitry Potepalov

Dmitry Potepalov has worked in the software engineering industry since 2007. Dmitry began their career as a Junior Software Developer at Parallels, then moved to Programs and Complexes as a Software Developer in 2009. In 2012, they were promoted to Lead Software Developer at SmartLabs. In 2016, they joined Yandex as a Senior Software Developer, where they drove the adoption of SRE-related practices as a member of a reliability focused team of software engineers. In 2020, they took on the role of leading the SRE V-team and planning short-term tasks for team members. In 2021, they joined Aiven as a Senior Software Engineer. During their tenure at Yandex, Potepalov designed and implemented an on-line resharding system and a series of "wheel of misfortune" exercises for the team.

Dmitry Potepalov attended Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a specialist degree in applied mathematics and computer science.
