Jani Saarelainen has been working in the sales and business development industry since 2009. In that year, they started as a Sales Trainee at IBM, where they attended the Nordic Sales Trainee program and graduated with distinction from both the IBM Global Sales School and Sales Master Class. Jani then moved on to Keypro Oy as a Sales Manager. In 2012, they joined Qlik as a Territory Sales Manager, Partner Sales Manager, and Sales Director, Finland. In 2019, they became Regional Sales Manager at Splunk, and in 2022 they began their current role as Key Account Director, Nordics at Aiven, where they are responsible for providing managed open source data technologies on all major clouds.
Jani Saarelainen obtained a Master of Economic Sciences in Marketing from Joensuun yliopisto in 2008. In April 2020, they became a Certified Splunk Cloud Hero from Splunk Cloud Heroes.
