Jarkko Jaakola

Jarkko Jaakola has over 18 years of professional experience in software engineering. Jarkko began their career as an Assistant at the University of Oulu in 2003. In 2006, they became a Specialist at Symbio, where they were responsible for software project estimation, project management, architecture design, development, and delivery. In 2016, they joined Arm as a Principal Software Engineer and Tech Lead of Core Connectivity Service Components. In this role, they had tech lead and team lead responsibilities of multiple Core Connectivity Service Components of the Pelion IoT device management platform. In 2020, they moved to Pelion, where they assumed the same role. Currently, they are a Staff Software Engineer at Aiven, where they began in 2021.

Jarkko Jaakola attended Kindergarten before enrolling at the University of Oulu, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer Science in 2006.
