Kalle Ryynänen has a wealth of legal experience, beginning in 2010 as a Legal Trainee at Susiluoto Attorneys-at-Law Ltd. In 2011, they worked as a Benefits Officer at the Teachers Unemployment Fund, where they processed unemployment benefit applications and provided legal guidance to the fund members in employment law matters. In 2012, they worked as a Legal Trainee at Peltonen LMR Attorneys Ltd. In 2013, they worked as a Legal Trainee at Nokia Legal & IP, responsible for the in-house Open Source Due Diligence Process. In 2014, they transferred to Microsoft from Nokia as a transferring employee in Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia’s Device business, working as a Legal Counsel and Legal Trainee. In 2015, they worked as a Legal Counsel at Comptel, a software company developing software products and providing related services to telecom operators. In 2016, they worked as an Associate at Castrén & Snellman, a leading law firm in Finland, and in 2017 they worked as a Senior Associate at Roschier, Attorneys Ltd., advising clients in commercial and technology development agreements and IP commercialization matters. In 2020, Kalle Ryynänen joined Aiven as Legal Director and Lead Counsel, leading the Aiven Legal Team and developing and implementing company wide legal processes to support the growth of Aiven.

Kalle Ryynänen has a diverse educational background. Kalle began their studies in 2007 at the University of Eastern Finland, where they studied Computer Science until 2009. Kalle then continued their studies at the University of Helsinki, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Law in 2012 and a Master's Degree in Law in 2014. In between, they studied Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2012 to 2013.
