Rakesh Desai

Rakesh Desai has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with their most recent role being Vice President of Quality at Ajanta Pharma Ltd starting in January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Alkem Laboratories Ltd. from 2018 to 2021, holding various positions including Head Quality (AVP) and AVP Quality Control. Rakesh also served as the GM Quality Control at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd from 2005 to 2018. Before that, they were the Head of QA at Ipca Laboratories Limited in 2005. Rakesh began their career in 1998 as a Chemist at Themis Pharma and has since held positions at SUN PHARMA and BioChem.

Rakesh Desai completed their B.Sc in Chemistry from South Gujarat University between 1994 and 1997. Rakesh later pursued an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University, which they completed between 2010 and 2012.
