Akiko Maruyama

Akiko Maruyama is a seasoned professional at Ajinomoto Co., Inc., with a career spanning nearly two decades, beginning in 2004. Currently, Akiko serves as the Group Leader of the Amino Beauty Group in the Bio & Fine Chemicals Division, focusing on building new sales strategies and promoting alliances. Previously, Akiko held roles including Strategy Business Development Manager, emphasizing food enzyme product development and open innovation, as well as Project Leader for M&A deals and startup investments. Akiko's foundation in food science was established with a Master's degree from Kyoto University, gained between 1997 and 2004.
