Martin Helgeby

Martin Helgeby has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Martin started their career as a summer intern at Færder Securities in 2007. Martin then worked as a forvaltningsøkonom (Controller) at Statsbygg from January 2010 to June 2010. Martin later joined TECO CHEMICALS AS as a Purchasing/Sales Support from July 2010 to November 2011. In 2011, Martin became a Board Member at YoungShip Bergen from April 2011 to March 2012. Martin then transitioned into the shipping industry and joined Clarksons Platou, where they held various positions such as Trainee from December 2011 to October 2013, and Broker/Operator from October 2013 to January 2016. Their responsibilities included negotiation and coordination of cargoes on chemical tankers and compilation of market reports. After that, they served as Broker/Operator specializing in Specialised Products Shipbroking from February 2016 to January 2018. Currently, Martin is working at AK Jensen Group Limited, where they started as an Execution Services Associate from February 2018 to March 2021. Martin then became the Deputy Head of Execution Services in April 2021, focusing on multi-asset execution, algorithmic trading, and project management.

Martin Helgeby completed their education in a chronological order. Martin obtained an Executive MBA degree in Finance and a degree in Autorisert finansanalytikerstudium (AFA) from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from the same institution between 2006 and 2009. Martin also attended Asker videregående skole from 2003 to 2006, where they received a High School Diploma, focusing on Mathematics, English, Economics, and Business Studies.
