Arun Poruri

Arun Poruri is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software development for media delivery and transcoding applications. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Akamai Technologies since June 2018, Arun specializes in Edge Cache servers for media delivery and has previously held the role of Senior Lead Software Engineer focusing on Edge and Mid Tier servers. Prior experience includes a tenure as Staff Engineer at Harmonic from March 2010 to June 2018, where Arun developed software pipelines for real-time audio and video transcoding on Linux platforms. Earlier roles encompassed a Software Engineer position at Eptascape, Inc., along with a consultancy role at Motorola India Electronics Ltd. Arun holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
