James Casey

James Casey is a seasoned legal and privacy professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Vice President and Chief Privacy Officer at Akamai Technologies since October 2014, James has previously held positions as Associate General Counsel and Chief Data Protection Officer. Prior to Akamai, James worked at Neustar, Inc. for over 13 years, where responsibilities included Associate General Counsel and Senior Director of Law and Commercial Services. James’s early career features roles at prominent law firms, including Greenberg Traurig LLP and Morrison & Foerster LLP. Academically, James holds a J.D. from Cornell Law School, an MBA from William & Mary, and a B.A. in History from Cornell University.
