Sejal Desai

Sejal Desai has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Sejal is currently serving as the Executive Director at Akanksha Education Fund, where they lead a non-profit organization focused on providing educational opportunities. Prior to this, Sejal worked as the Director at CFT for Business, where they spearheaded initiatives to help companies implement Corporate Social Responsibility programs.

Sejal has also founded SevaYatra, an organization that offers short-term service opportunities with NGOs in India. In addition, they have served as the Program Director at Entrepreneurs for North Texas and Vice President of Community Development at Encore Enterprises.

Sejal'searly career involved roles as Principal at MHT Partners and Founder and Principal at STARTech Early Ventures, where they worked closely with startups and entrepreneurs. Sejal also gained experience as the Manager of Corporate Advisory Services at Ernst & Young and began their career as an Articleship in Accounting, Tax, and Audit at D. J. Shukla & Co.

Sejal Desai has a Masters in Liberal Studies with a focus on Arts and Cultural Traditions from Southern Methodist University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed an MBA in Marketing and General Business at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas, from 1998 to 1999. Sejal also has a CA degree in Accounting from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, which they earned from 1990 to 1994. Sejal completed their undergraduate education at the University of Mumbai, where they obtained a B.Com degree in Accounting from 1985 to 1990. Sejal attended Jamnabai Narsee School for their high school education from 1978 to 1985. Additionally, in 2020 to 2021, they participated in the Stagen Leadership Academy, completing the Social Change Leadership Program with a focus on Social Change and Leadership.
