David Anderson

IT and Web Consultant at Akash Systems

David Anderson has a wealth of experience in IT and web consulting, filmmaking, software engineering, user interface development, user experience design, and web development. David began their career in 2004 as a UI Designer at Minerva Networks, where they were responsible for interaction and visual design of the company's consumer-oriented iTV Manager 2.0 software. In 2005, they joined IGN Entertainment as a Versatile Producer and User Experience Designer, where they were responsible for interaction design and development of user interfaces for the company's high-profile entertainment web site. In 2010, they moved to BlackArrow as a Senior User Experience Designer/Developer, where they were responsible for web development and interaction design of an advanced advertising web application. In 2012, they joined 100Plus as a User Experience Designer and Web Developer, working on a health prediction application. In 2013, they became a Software Engineer at Practice Fusion, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining a shared styles and component library developed in Ember JS. In 2016, they joined Digital Arts Media as a Filmmaker, where they were responsible for filmmaking, script writing, editing, color grading, CG art and electronic music. In 2017, they joined Akash Systems as an IT and Web Consultant. Finally, in 2019, they became a Senior User Interface Developer at SMCI, where they worked as a remote WordPress developer and designer for Warner Bros Entertainment Group.

David Anderson attended Paducah Tilghman HIgh School in Paducah, KY. David then obtained a BA in Business - Journalism from Auburn University. In 2018, they began studying at City College of San Francisco, where they are currently enrolled in an Associate of Science - AS program in Cinema Production. David is expected to graduate in May 2022. Additionally, they have obtained Certificates of Achievement in Cinema Foundations, Cinematography, and Directing from City College of San Francisco.
