Gyongyi Molnar

Gyongyi Molnar is a Principal Scientist at Akebia Therapeutics since September 2018, focusing on drug development for acute kidney injury with expertise in small molecules screening strategies and in vivo efficacy studies. Previously, Gyongyi operated as an Independent Consultant from 2017 to September 2018, specializing in cardiovascular research and related animal models. Prior roles include Project Manager at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where responsibilities included performing molecular biology assays, and Principal Scientist at Genzyme Sanofi, leading projects on chronic kidney disease and heart failure therapies. Early experience includes a Senior Scientist position at Genzyme Genetics, where Gyongyi led studies on cytokines and stem cell characterization. Gyongyi holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Debrecen, School of Medicine.
