Tinh Nguyen

Tinh Nguyen currently serves as Senior Patent Counsel at Akebia Therapeutics, having joined the company in March 2019 after a progression through various patent attorney roles at firms including Duane Morris LLP, Vedder Price, and Troutman Sanders LLP. Tinh Nguyen began the legal career with a judicial externship with Chief Judge Joseph Laplante at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire and gained additional experience through internships with Chief Justice Myron Steele of the Delaware Supreme Court and Troutman Sanders LLP as a summer associate. Prior to pursuing a legal career, Tinh Nguyen earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Mary Washington, complementing this educational background with a Juris Doctor in Intellectual Property Law from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law.
