Richard Emberland

Richard Emberland has extensive experience in drilling engineering, currently serving as a Senior Drilling Engineer at Aker BP ASA since December 2016, where responsibilities include supporting Scarabeo 8 Drilling & Completion operations and focusing on subsea developments such as the Hanz project and the Noaka Field Development. Prior to this, Richard held various roles at BP from April 2003 to December 2016, contributing to subsea and platform drilling projects, including the Ærfugl and Valhall developments. Early career roles included drilling and mechanical engineering positions, with foundational experience gained in the Royal Norwegian Air Force. Richard holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol.
