Sean Welch has over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Sean began their career in 2001 as a Corporate Manager/Franchisee at 7-Eleven Sales Company, where they operated multiple units in the Salt Lake Valley before purchasing their own franchise. In 2010, they became a Food Services Production Manager at Intermountain Healthcare, where they were responsible for weekly prep lists, new menu items and ongoing food quality to support patient meals, lunch for employees, cafeteria meals and daily catering. In 2012, they joined HMSHost as a Director of Operations for a 24M Food and Beverage operation in the Oakland Airport. Sean also served as a Commissary Manager and Production Kitchen Manager for the company. In 2016, they worked as a Food and Beverage Director at Eurest and a Food Service Director/Executive Chef and Director of Nutrition Services at DM&A. In 2017, they became a General Manager at Wingers Restaurants, and in 2018 they were an Assistant Director of Operations at SSP America. Since 2019, they have been an Inventory Control Manager at The Apothecarium, where they have been responsible for brand relations, store inventory budgets, aging product management, on boarding new products and new vendors. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Akerna Corp. as an Account Relationship Manager.

Sean Welch attended The International Culinary Institute at The Art Institute of Salt Lake City from 2009 to 2012, where they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Food Service Management. Prior to that, they attended Salt Lake Community College from 2001 to 2008, studying Business Administration and Management, General.
