Valerie Fenster

Valerie Fenster has extensive experience in the field of human factors engineering and packaging. Valerie is currently working at Akero Therapeutics as a Senior Director, responsible for packaging and human factors. Prior to this, they held the position of Director at the same company. Before joining Akero Therapeutics, Valerie worked as a contractor. Valerie also served as the Director of Insights and Human Factors at Kaleidoscope Innovation and Product Design. Valerie has previously worked at Amgen as a Senior Manager in Human Factors Engineering and at DIRECTV as a UX Consultant and Lead for Research Operations. Valerie'searly career includes roles as a Senior Human Factors Design Engineer at St. Jude Medical, President and Founder of Userware, Inc., and Vice President of Tools & Prototyping at Citibank.

Valerie Fenster obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at Argosy University from 2009-2010. Valerie Fenster's earliest higher education is a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Humanities from California State University, Northridge, which they completed from 1973-1977.
