Clinical assay development and Quality manager at Akesogen

Krishna Amin has worked in the field of molecular diagnostics since 2009. Krishna's current role is Director of R&D and Quality at Flowhealth, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to that, they were Clinical Assay Development and Quality Manager at Flow Health from 2021. From 2016 to 2021, they were Clinical Assay Development and Quality Manager and Clinical Laboratory Scientist at AKESOgen, Inc., where they developed and tested for genomics and proteomics for various diseases, and successfully completed validation of protein assays for oral cancer, Alzheimer disease and tumors with ELISA and Luminex technology. From 2009 to 2016, they worked at DNA Electronics Diagnostics Limited in various roles. As Senior Scientist, they advanced and developed molecular diagnostics Next Generation Sequencing and amplification systems. As Molecular Biologist, they worked on antibiotic resistant gene analysis and microbial Identification through amplification and sequencing. Krishna also developed and performed tests for label free nucleic acid detection using semiconductor chips. As Research Assistant, they designed fast and simple experiments for extraction of DNA from saliva samples.

Krishna Amin completed a High School degree from The H.M.Patel, Gujarat, INDIA between 1990 and 2000. Krishna then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from Sardar Ptel University between 2003 and 2006. Krishna furthered their education by obtaining an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Hertfordshire in 2008. In 2018, they obtained an ASCP-MB certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Krishna also holds an ISO 13485 certification.
