Ryan Whelan

Ryan Whelan currently serves as Senior Counsel in the global disputes practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, specializing in high-value, complex, and cross-border arbitration, litigation, and infrastructure projects since March 2022. Previously, Ryan held the position of Senior Associate in the Arbitration and Litigation group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from October 2014 to March 2022, during which time Ryan was seconded to the London office from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, Ryan was a Trainee Solicitor from September 2011 to 2013 and subsequently an Associate at Pinsent Masons until October 2014.
