Annie Douthit

2nd Grade Teacher, Theatre Director at Akiva School

Annie Douthit began their work experience in 2006 at The Nightingale-Bamford School, where they worked as a Kindergarten Associate Teacher until 2008. In 2010, they joined Harding Academy as a 2nd grade cooperative teacher and worked there until 2012. From 2012 onwards, Annie worked at Akiva School as a 2nd grade teacher and Theatre Director.

Annie Douthit pursued their Bachelor's degree at Bates College from 2000 to 2004. Annie specialized in Economics and French during this period. Subsequently, they attended Vanderbilt University from 2008 to 2010, where they completed their Master's degree in Education (MEd). Their area of focus during their time at Vanderbilt was Elementary Education, with a particular emphasis on obtaining a reading specialist endorsement.
