Mark Ganan is an experienced professional in the field of internal audit and financial reporting. Mark started their career at Deloitte and Touche as a Senior Associate from December 1990 to May 1992. Mark then joined Varlen Corporation as an Internal Audit and Financial Reporting Supervisor from June 1992 to November 1997. Following this, they worked at Zenith Corporation as a Senior Corporate Consultant, where they streamlined the accounting for warranty claims and implemented a Y2K compliance strategy. From September 1998 to June 2000, Mark held the role of Internal Audit Director at MMI Corporation, where they implemented a risk-based audit approach and conducted financial and internal control audits. Mark then joined Accenture as an Internal Audit Manager from June 2000 to June 2005, where they applied a risk-based audit approach and assisted in the design and global roll-out of the internal control documentation project. Mark then joined Equity Residential as an Assistant Vice President of Internal Audit from June 2005 to February 2008, where they re-engineered the compliance approach and oversaw control testing. After that, they worked at R1 RCM (formerly Accretive Health) as the Vice President of Internal Audit from February 2008 to January 2015. In this role, Mark created financial reporting policies and internal controls, developed internal audit plans, and achieved SAS70 SSAE16 compliance. Lastly, Mark is currently serving as the Vice President Internal Audit at Akorn, Inc since June 2015. In this role, they grew the Internal Audit team, developed policies and procedures, and played a key role in restatement remediation efforts.
Mark Ganan completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business/Management at Purdue University from 1986 to 1990. In August 1994, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant but the institution from which they obtained this certification is unknown.
