Sierra Wasielewski

Associate Development Scientist II at Akouos

Sierra Wasielewski started their work experience in 2017 as a Summer Sunday Tour Worker at Brookhaven National Laboratory. In 2018, they became a Research Assistant at the Shansky Lab of Neuroanatomy and Behavior, where they conducted research on sex differences in fear responses and carried out a six-month research project on sex differences in darting behavior. Sierra was responsible for experimental design, animal handling, data analysis using Python and GraphPad Prism, and maintaining a thorough lab notebook. In 2019, they joined Oncorus as an Analytical Sciences/QC Co-op and later became an Associate Scientist in Analytical Development/QC. Sierra worked there until 2021, when they joined Akouos as an Associate Development Scientist II.

Sierra Wasielewski holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University. Sierra also has a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University.
