Carla Coltharp

Carla Coltharp, PhD, is currently the Director of Instruments & Systems Integration at Akoya Biosciences, Inc. Carla has a strong background in developing and improving tissue imaging instruments, software, and reagents, with a specialization in multispectral fluorescence workflows. Prior to their current role, Carla held positions as a Senior Imaging Scientist at PerkinElmer, Inc. and as a PhD Candidate & Postdoctoral Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Their experience also includes roles at Sensor Technologies and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Carla conducted research in chemistry and biophysics.
