Anil Mahalaha

Anil Mahalaha has extensive experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on technology and architecture. Anil currently holds multiple roles at Akoya, including Chief Evangelist, Head of Solutions, Product Owner, Head of Development, and Founding Employee. In these positions, they are responsible for managing relationships between financial institutions and FinTech companies, ensuring technical, legal, and security standards are met.

Prior to their role at Akoya, Mahalaha served as a Founding Board Member at the Financial Data Exchange (FDX), a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing a common technology standard for secure access to user-permissioned financial data. Anil played a crucial role in unifying the financial industry around this standard.

Before joining FDX, Mahalaha had a lengthy tenure at Fidelity Investments, where they held the position of Vice President - Architecture. In this role, they oversaw mission-critical enterprise technology infrastructure, executed strategic initiatives to optimize efficiency and innovation, and managed various transformation projects.

Earlier in their career, Mahalaha served as the Head of Enterprise Architecture & Engineering at Fidelity International. In this role, they strategically planned and streamlined IT applications, databases, and infrastructure, collaborated with the CIO on budgeting and productivity initiatives, and reduced costs by transitioning engineering functions to a low-cost location.

Prior to their time at Fidelity International, Mahalaha held the position of Vice President - Architecture at Fidelity Investments, where they played a key role in enhancing the technology and telecommunications infrastructure of the Call & Online Support Center. Anil also led the implementation of new applications and technology solutions to improve customer service.

Before joining Fidelity Investments, Mahalaha worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they led a team in developing client/server applications for acquiring and serving new life insurance customers. Anil also played a significant role in the design and implementation of the company's first intranet website.

Anil Mahalaha received a Master's degree in Information Technology from Southern New Hampshire University. Anil also earned an MS in Computer Information Systems from the same institution, which they completed from 1990 to 1991. Additionally, Anil obtained an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and studied at the institution from 1993 to 1994.
