Jeffrey Katzin, PhD, serves as the Senior Curator at Akron Art Museum, a position held since October 2019, where previous roles included Curator, Associate Curator, Assistant Curator, and Curatorial Fellow. Prior experience includes a Graduate Curatorial Internship at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, contributing to significant acquisitions and writing exhibition labels, and a Graduate Lectureship at the Institute of Contemporary Art at the University of Pennsylvania, where tours were led for diverse audiences. Katzin's earlier positions range from curatorial and collections internships at various esteemed institutions, including the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Blanton Museum of Art. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside master's and bachelor's degrees in Art History from The University of Texas at Austin and Wesleyan University, respectively. Additionally, Katzin holds a certificate in Art Museum Studies from Smith College.
