Melissa Bennett is the Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of Hamilton since September 2009. Melissa has curated over 60 exhibitions of contemporary art and is currently working on the Shelley Niro: 500 Year Itch retrospective. Melissa has also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at McMaster University and has served as a juror for various art competitions and exhibitions. With a Master of Arts in Art History from York University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Art History from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the art world.

Founded in 1914, the Art Gallery of Hamilton is the oldest and largest public art gallery in southwestern Ontario.
