Tetsuo Kobayashi has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Tetsuo started their career as an Assistant Professor at Florida State University in 2011 and worked until 2013. Tetsuo then joined Pivotal, Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist from 2014 to 2016. Later, they worked at MetLife as a Manager, Data Scientist in 2016 and moved on to Condé Nast Japan as Director, Data & Analytics for a short period in 2017. In the same year, they joined EMC Japan as an Advisory Consultant/Data Scientist until 2019. Following that, they worked as the Lead Data Scientist at One Concern from 2019 to 2020. Currently, they are employed by Aktana where they began as the Director, Advanced Services in 2020 and transitioned to their current role as the Director, Advanced Analytics in May 2021.
Tetsuo Kobayashi completed their Bachelor of Arts in Geography at Nagoya University from 1999 to 2003. Tetsuo then pursued their Master of Science in Environmental Science at The University of Tokyo from 2003 to 2005. Finally, they obtained their Ph.D in Geography from the University of Utah between 2005 and 2011.
