Sigurður Guðmundsson is a Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine at the University of Iceland. Sigurður was the National Medical Director of Health (Surgeon General) in Iceland from 1998 to 2008.
He graduated from the University of Iceland Medical School in 1975, with postgraduate training in Iceland until 1978, and in internal medicine and infectious diseases at the University of Wisconsin CSC from 1978-1983.
