Eija Karlsson

Eija Karlsson has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Eija started their career at Sampo Bank in 1997, holding various roles including First Vice President. Eija then joined OP Financial Group in 2012, where they worked as a Vice President and Program Manager. In 2015, they moved to Aktia as a Director and later became the Senior IT Risk specialist and Head of Operational Risk Control. Eija's expertise lies in risk management and leadership roles within the banking sector.

Eija Karlsson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in SME management, International marketing, and Finance from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu from 1987 to 1991. Eija also studied IT at Helsingin Atk-Instituutti from 1983 to 1986, and attended EKY from 1980 to 1983. Eija has additional certifications including CBCI Qualification from The BCI in 2023, GRC Professional Certificate from OCEG in 2020, a post-graduate certificate of Mechanics of Operational Risk from The Middlesex University in 2019, and CGEIT from ISACA in 2017.
