Mattia Bertschi

Mattia Bertschi is the Co-Founder and COO at Aktiia. Mattia was previously the Section Head at Centre Suisse d'Electronique et Microtechnique (CSEM SA) from August 2005 to June 2018. In this role, they were responsible for identifying market needs, organizing technology watch activities, and collaborating in the definition of the company roadmap and strategy within the biomedical engineering field. Mattia also collaborated in the business acquisition by identifying and contacting potential partners or by answering to customer requests.

Bertschi is a highly experienced manager, with a proven track record of successfully leading a team of engineers. Mattia is also well-versed in quality control systems, having helped maintain and improve the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems while at CSEM SA.

In addition to their work at Aktiia, Bertschi is also an associate editor for the research topic "Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) correlates in psychophysiological states investigation: sensing, processing and recognition" in Frontiers in Neuroengineering.

Mattia Bertschi completed a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne). Mattia also holds an M. Sc. in electrical engineering from EPFL and a federal diploma of maturity in scientific section from Liceo di Lugano 2.
