Pete Karp is a mission-driven and action-oriented executive, whose greatest professional impacts have been designing and executing sales and account management strategies that consistently exceed expectation. As Akumina’s Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development, Pete is chartered with leading the organization’s commercial strategy for maximizing revenue while ensuring optimal customer experience.

Prior to joining Akumina, Pete was Vice President, Sales and Global Accounts at Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM). Over his tenure at IRM, Pete established and led teams that advanced the organization’s suite of technology and digital transformation offerings, including; hosted Data Centers, a proprietary information governance SaaS product, and an ML/AI solution built on the Google Cloud Platform.

Pete is highly experienced in managing successful growth efforts, having played a key executive role in scaling IRM’s enterprise sales segment from eight to over two hundred team members, and transitioning from a geographic to vertical segmentation model. Over a seven-year period, Pete grew his business sectors from $120M to over $450M in ARR. During his most recent role at IRM, Pete led a ground-up rebuild and talent re-calibration for IRM’s Global Accounts segment.

Pete holds a BA in Business Communications from Boston College.
