Irène Balmès, PhD

Irène Balmès, PhD has held various roles in the field of data science since 2008. Irène began their career as a Physics Teacher at College Kaké from 2008-2009, followed by a PhD Candidate at Observatoire de Paris from 2009-2013. During this time, they worked on two projects related to Bayesian statistics and cosmological simulations. From 2013-2015, they were a Data Scientist at Consort NT, and from 2016-2022, they were a Lead Data Scientist and Consultante Data Scientist at Kynapse. Currently, they are a Lead Data Scientist at AKUR8.

Irène Balmès obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the Observatoire de Paris in 2013. Irène also holds a Master's Degree in Physics from the Ecole normale supérieure, which they obtained between 2005 and 2010. Prior to that, they studied Mathematics and Physics at the Lycée Louis-le-Grand between 2003 and 2005. Irène also holds certifications in front-end-foundations and try-sql from Code School.
