Bala Sambanthan

Bala SAMBANTHAN has extensive experience in engineering project management, particularly in the chemical and pharmaceuticals sectors. Since October 2012, Bala has held the position of Regional Engineering Project Manager at AkzoNobel, overseeing large-scale CAPEX projects in both North America and South Asia. Previous roles at AkzoNobel include Engineering Project Manager for site projects in Melbourne, and Engineering and Maintenance Manager. Before joining AkzoNobel, Bala worked as an Engineering and Maintenance Executive at Orchid Pharma and held the position of Maintenance Officer at Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Bala holds an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shri Andal Alagar College of Engineering and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from PSB Polytechnic College. Educational background also includes completion of high school and primary education focusing on Maths and Science.
