Brenda Deshields

Brenda DeShields has extensive experience in product safety and regulatory affairs. Brenda is currently the Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs NA Team Lead at AkzoNobel, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Solugen as a Sr. Product Regulatory Manager from July 2021 to March 2023, where they managed a team and prepared SOPs and working instructions for the product regulatory area. From January 2016 to July 2021, Brenda worked at Oxiteno as a Regulatory Specialist II, where they served as the TSCA Coordinator and liaison between Oxiteno and various governmental and industrial organizations. Before that, they held positions at Nalco Champion, Nalco, Oil Center Research, and Louisiana DEQ, gaining experience in roles such as Senior Regulatory Specialist, Product Chemist, QC/QA/Regulatory/R&D Chemist, and Chemist.

Brenda DeShields obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Kansas Wesleyan University from 1992 to 1996. Brenda also holds various certifications in product stewardship, chemical hazard communication, EHS, and professional skills, obtained from institutions such as the Product Stewardship Society, Society for Chemical Hazard Communication, and Nalco Champion.
