Ranjit Shinde

Ranjit Shinde has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ranjit is currently serving as the Global Head of Group FP&A at AkzoNobel since 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Regional Head - FP&A - South Asia at AkzoNobel from 2021 to 2023.

Before joining AkzoNobel, Ranjit worked at Compagnie de Saint-Gobain as a Finance Controller responsible for Northern Europe, LATAM, and APAC regions. Ranjit held this position from 2017 to 2021. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in analyzing acquisitions, CAPEX, and restructuring proposals to support decision-making by the Executive Committee. Ranjit also executed various transversal projects and facilitated finance trainings.

From 2014 to 2017, Ranjit served as the Manager Audit at Saint Gobain Interservices. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager Finance at Grindwell Norton Ltd from 2011 to 2014. In this role, they were responsible for setting up and scaling the Finance Shared Service Centre for Saint Gobain in India. Ranjit's career started at Thomson Reuters in 2009, where they held the position of Finance Manager. Ranjit stabilized the finance function of a startup through evaluating financial management systems, establishing policies and reporting structures, and providing decision-critical information to the management team.

Before joining Thomson Reuters, they worked at Grindwell Norton Ltd as a Manager Finance from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they played a key role in setting up the finance function of a greenfield project and managing the financial aspects of the project through collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ranjit's early career includes positions such as Senior Audit Executive at Blue Star Limited from 2003 to 2005, Consultant at Aneja Associates in 2002, and Article Clerk at A F Ferguson from 1997 to 2000.

Ranjit Shinde has a diverse education history. Ranjit holds a Chartered Accountant (CA) degree with a focus on Accounts, Audit & Tax. Ranjit is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). In addition, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from MCC. Ranjit has an Honours Diploma in Systems Management from NIIT, specializing in Software Development. Ranjit also completed a Fintech program in Artificial Intelligence for Finance at CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship in 2018-2019. Ranjit has further certifications, including a Business Analytics certificate from The Wharton School and a Tableau training certificate from Udemy.
