Roop Loomba

Roop Loomba is a highly experienced Generalist Lawyer, currently serving as the Legal Head for India and Senior Legal Counsel for the SESA region and Pacific at AkzoNobel since March 2023. With a diverse legal background spanning over two decades, Roop co-founded Loomba Legal Services in September 2017, focusing on corporate, constitutional, intellectual property, and compliance law. Previous roles include General Counsel and Head of Ethics & Compliance at Rolls-Royce, and General Manager for Legal Functions at Philips Lighting India Limited, Whirlpool India, and Philips Electronics India. Roop has successfully managed complex legal issues, high-stakes litigations, and compliance strategies across multiple sectors and regions, earning recognition such as the CEO Award for Best Collaboration at Philips. An alumnus of Panjab University with an LL.B degree, Roop has contributed significantly to the legal field through various positions, emphasizing training, compliance, and legal support for substantial business operations.
