Joaquim Fernandes

Joaquim Fernandes has over 30 years of work experience in the finance field. Joaquim is currently serving as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer at Habtoor Hospitality since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Finance at Metropolitan Hotel - Habtoor Hotels from May 2016 onwards. From June 2010 to April 2016, they served as the Financial Controller at Grand Excelsior Hotel. Before that, they held the position of Group Internal Auditor at Al Habtoor Hotels from May 2006 to May 2010. Joaquim has also worked as a Financial Controller at Mayfair Hotel, Dubai (Holiday Villa Malaysia) from May 2000 to May 2004 and as an Accountant at Regency & Mina Hotels - ADNH from August 1996 to May 2000. Joaquim started their career as an Accounts Supervisor at Leela Kempinski Goa in December 1991 and worked there until July 1996.

Joaquim Fernandes completed their primary and secondary education at St Rita's High School Maina Curtorim Goa from 1976 to 1986. Joaquim then pursued their Higher Secondary School Certificate in Accountancy at Shree Parvathibhai Chowgule College from 1986 to 1988. Afterward, they attended Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance.
