Jamal Elshayyal

Jamal Elshayyal is a seasoned professional in the media and consulting sectors, currently serving as the Manager of Content Strategy for OTT Platforms at Al Jazeera Media Network, where responsibility includes launching the first multi-lingual streaming platform dedicated to various documentary and news content. With a robust background as a correspondent, senior correspondent, and senior producer at Al Jazeera, Jamal has covered significant events such as the Gaza aid flotilla and the Arab Spring, producing award-winning reports. Additionally, Jamal has advised key governmental and non-governmental organizations as a Senior Consultant at Clarity Consultants & Solutions, has served on the National Executive Committee of the National Union of Students (UK), and has consulted for various UK governmental bodies on ethnic minority issues and Middle Eastern affairs. An accomplished writer and translator, Jamal has contributed op-eds to prominent newspapers and has extensive translation experience across multiple fields. An alumnus of SOAS University of London, Jamal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Arabic.
