Group Finance Director- Iraq at Al Muhaidib Group

Ahmad R. Dabdoub has extensive work experience in finance, auditing, and internal controls. Ahmad R. Dabdoub began their career with UNRWA as an Internal Auditor from April 2000 to October 2001. Ahmad R. Dabdoub then joined Grant Thornton LLP (US) as a Senior Audit Manager from June 1997 to June 2010. After that, they worked at KPMG as an Audit Manager from June 2010 to September 2011, and later as a Senior Audit Manager from September 2011 to February 2013.

Most recently, Ahmad R. Dabdoub has been with the Al Muhaidib Group, where they have held several roles. From February 2014 to February 2019, they served as the Group Financial Controller- Iraq. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company in Iraq. Additionally, from April 2016 to December 2017, they held the position of Head of Internal Audit Department - Iraq. In this role, they developed and implemented a risk-based audit plan to assess and improve the company's operational and financial activities. Ahmad R. Dabdoub also established internal controls and monitored compliance.

Currently, Ahmad R. Dabdoub holds the position of Group Finance Director- Iraq at Al Muhaidib Group, starting in February 2019. In this role, they continue to oversee the financial operations of the company in Iraq.

Ahmad R. Dabdoub completed their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Yarmouk University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Ahmad R. Dabdoub also obtained a BSC in Accounting from Jami'at Al-Yarmouk during the same period. Before their university studies, Ahmad attended Al Manhal International School where they completed their High School/Secondary Certificate Programs from 1985 to 1993.

Additionally, Ahmad acquired several certifications throughout their career. Ahmad R. Dabdoub became a Certified Professional Forensic Accountant from The Institute of Certified Forensic Accountants in December 2015. In February 2014, they obtained a Certified Financial Controller certification from The Institute of Financial Consultants. Ahmad also became a Certified Fraud Examiner in July 2007 through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Earlier, in December 2006, they obtained a certification in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) from the ACCA. Prior to that, in October 2004, Ahmad achieved the Jordanian CPA designation from the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants. Lastly, in May 2004, they became a Certified Internal Auditor through The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.
