Born in 1953, Al Serino resides and works in Brooklyn, New York City. Serino graduated from the State University of New York and the Massachusetts College of Art with a BFA in painting in 1976.
His paintings combine his interest in landscapes, still lifes, and portraits. Among the art historical traditions that Al Serino is inspired by are Chinese landscape painting, Surrealism, and Folk Art.
Many private, corporate and public collections around the world contain Serino's work. These include the Danforth Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum, and Wellington Management. Moreover, he has exhibited extensively in the United States and Canada.
