Stewart Macphail

Stewart Macphail has a diverse and impressive work experience spanning several industries and positions. Stewart began their career in 1988 as an Assistant Branch Manager at HFC Bank and later served as a Project Manager and Group Product Manager. In 1996, they joined GE Capital, where they held various roles, including General Marketing Manager, Head of Product Development, Marketing Director, Change Management Director, Managing Director, and eventually Chief Executive Officer. During their tenure at GE Capital, they played a pivotal role in achieving significant growth and implementing an integrated plan for serving over 1 million active customers.

Following their successful career at GE Capital, Macphail became the Group Chief Executive Officer at Fawaz Al Hokair Group and later served as a Non-Executive Board Director at The Sultan Center. In 2010, they joined Consilia Partners as the Managing Partner for the MENA region, where they built a new business division and established key client and strategic partner relationships.

In 2012, Macphail took on the role of President & CEO at Mohammad Al Mojil Group, leading a comprehensive transformation program that addressed a significant annual loss. Stewart then joined Gulf International Bank as the Group Chief Operating Officer in 2014, where they focused on business efficiency, growth, and profitability through the development and execution of an integrated business transformation plan. Additionally, they oversaw the implementation of technology initiatives worth $60 million, which greatly improved employee productivity.

Macphail's most recent positions include Board Membership roles at Factotum Arabia Consultancy and Training, Nadeen School, and Al-Suwaidi Holding Company. In these roles, they continue to provide strategic guidance and contribute to the success of these organizations.

Stewart Macphail obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Law from Lancaster University, which they attended from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, they hold a certification in Quality Six Sigma - Master Black Belt from GE Capital, which was obtained in 2001.
