Mahmoud Tabbal, MD, FACS, currently serves as the Chief of General, Acute/Trauma, Bariatric, Robotic, and Pediatric Surgery, as well as the Head of Surgical Services at Al Zahra Pvt. Hospital in Dubai since August 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Section Head of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Consultant HPB and Transplant Surgeon at King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam from September 2017 to August 2021. Mahmoud has completed fellowships in Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgery at Dalhousie University and Transplantation & Hepatobiliary Surgery at Henry Ford Health System. Additional experience encompasses positions as Assistant Consultant Transplant Surgeon and Surgery Specialist at various institutions. Mahmoud holds an MSc in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, obtained from 2021 to 2023, and an MBBS/MD in Medicine from the University of Jordan, earned from 1996 to 2002.
