Brad Fricks has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Brad started their career in 1999 as a High School Spanish Teacher at Fort Payne City Schools. In 2005, they joined Northeast Alabama Community College as a Spanish Instructor and later became the Director of Institutional Planning and Assessment. Brad Fricks currently holds the position of Director of Academic Affairs at the Alabama Community College System, starting from November 2018.

Brad Fricks has a strong educational background. Brad obtained their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama, where they studied from 2012 to 2020. Prior to this, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same university, attending from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their Master's degree, Brad also pursued Spanish Language and Literature at Auburn University from 2003 to 2004. Their initial foray into education began when they acquired a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from The University of Alabama, which they completed from 1994 to 1999.
