Dan Gates

Dan Gates, CPCU, MBA, is an accomplished insurance professional with extensive experience in various roles within the Alabama Department of Insurance, currently serving as an Insurance Rate Analyst since November 2019. Prior to this, Dan held the position of Insurance Consumer Specialist II from December 2016 to November 2018. Dan's background also includes work as a Field Technician at TTL, Inc., where responsibilities involved water sampling, and as an Assistant Manager at Gipson's Tire Pros, where customer service and operational support were key duties. Dan’s career began at USAA as a Financial Foundations Senior Specialist, focusing on policy reviews and customer assistance. Dan holds a Master of Business Administration in HR Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from Auburn University at Montgomery.
