Stephanie Pizza has a diverse work experience in the field of education and services for individuals with visual impairments. Stephanie began their career as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Georgia in August 2012 and worked in this role until July 2017. Stephanie then joined the Center for the Visually Impaired in 2017, first as the Interim Director of Children and Youth Services and later as the Director of Children & Youth Services, where they served until February 2020. Currently, they are the Regional Director at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, a position they have held since April 2020.
Stephanie Pizza attended Florida State University from 2006 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Visual Disabilities. Their field of study was focused on Special Education and Teaching. Following this, Stephanie pursued further education at Thomas University from 2016 to 2017. During their time there, they obtained an Educational Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership.
