Lauren Simpson has served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Alabama Attorney General's Office since June 2012. Prior to this role, Lauren completed several summer law clerk positions at the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Alabama, the Alabama Attorney General's Office, and the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office in 2010 and 2011. Additionally, Lauren has been engaged in freelance editorial work since 2004. Lauren holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, earned a Master of Science in Creative Writing from The University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Yale University.
