Leisa Johnson

Leisa Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Leisa currently serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing at the Alabama Pharmacy Association since February 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Communications Director at the same organization from April 2016 to February 2022. In this role, Leisa was responsible for designing and producing the quarterly association journal "Alabama Pharmacy," collaborating with the CEO and member-pharmacists on content coordination.

Before their work at the Alabama Pharmacy Association, Leisa held the position of Public Relations Specialist at the Family Sunshine Center from February 2003 to March 2016. In this role, they handled the design and production of printed materials for the agency, including newsletters, reports, brochures, posters, and educational materials. Leisa also managed media releases and media packages.

Earlier in their career, Leisa worked at the Southern Progress Corporation. From June 1993 to April 1995, they served as the Promotion Manager for Progressive Farmer Magazine, overseeing promotional, direct mail, and merchandising materials. Leisa also supervised copywriting, design, and layout for presentations, brochures, media kits, and more. From October 1990 to June 1993, Leisa worked as the Assistant Sales Promotion Manager for the same magazine, handling promotional duties and coordinating trade show schedules.

Leisa Johnson completed their college preparatory education at Jefferson Davis High School from 1980 to 1983. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus on Advertising and Graphic Design at the University of Alabama from 1983 to 1988.
