Cat Tate Starmer is an accomplished lighting designer and lecturer with extensive experience in the field of theatrical design. Currently serving as a Lecturer in Lighting Design at both Rutgers University and Fordham University, Cat Tate Starmer has also worked as a lighting designer for various prestigious institutions, including the Alley Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Guthrie Theater, The Old Globe, and Alabama Shakespeare Festival. With a career that began in June 2000 under Cat Tate Starmer Lighting Design, notable projects include the lighting design for "Hold These Truths" by Jeanne Sakata. Cat Tate Starmer holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design from Yale School of Drama and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts from Appalachian State University.
