Ryan Sozzi is an accomplished professional in costume production and design, currently serving as the Director of Costume Production and Head of Hair and Makeup at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival since October 2021. Since May 2020, Ryan has also worked as a self-employed wig master and costume designer. Previous experience includes keyholder at JOANN Stores and a sales associate position at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes in 2021. Ryan's foundational roles include serving as hair and makeup supervisor at the Texas Shakespeare Festival and various wig-related positions during multiple seasons at the same festival. Educational achievements include an MFA in Costume Design from Texas State University and a degree in Dramatic Media from Texas Lutheran University, along with ongoing studies at the Aveda Institute in Austin.

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, located in Montgomery - Alabama's state capital - is a fully professional regional theatre that produces around ten productions each season in association with Actors' Equity Association, The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society and United Scenic Artists union. Productions of Shakespeare are at the artistic core of the company. Broadway musicals, children's productions, American classics and world premieres round out the annual offerings at ASF.
