Kellie Shumack

Kellie Shumack has extensive experience in education, currently serving in the Office of Teaching and Leading at the Alabama State Department of Education since May 2024. Prior to this role, Kellie held multiple positions at Auburn University at Montgomery from August 2008 to January 2024, including Professor Emerita, Interim Dean, and Department Head of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology. Kellie's earlier career includes teaching business at Prattville High School from August 1995 to July 2008 and working as a Project Specialist at Auburn University from April 1989 to April 1994. Kellie's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems & Workforce Development from Mississippi State University and a Management Development certification from Harvard Graduate School of Education, among other degrees from Auburn University in Business Education and Recreation Administration.
